Common preparations of meat, chicken, fish and eggs contain more calories than the vegetable preparations. So one should have to be more alert about calorie intake while eating non- veg preparations. The caloric value of food items given here are for average servings but actual value would vary as per the amount and the method of preparing the item. For example someone may not be satisfied with 100 gram of chicken, at the same time how much of fat has been added to fry or to make it tastier in another factor which changes its caloric value. These facts are applicable to all preparations. Also there could be a difference in kind of raw material as mentioned under fish preparations.
